(一)可作耐火材料
由于石墨具有較強的耐火性,故而可以被用來生產耐火材料,比如當市場上比較常見的坩堝、耐火磚、鑄模芯、連續鑄造粉、耐高溫材料等。隨著現代科學技術的不斷發展,鎂碳磚等耐火材料在煉鋼爐內襯中的應用越來越廣泛、鋁碳磚內在連續鑄造中的應用性逐漸增強,加強了石墨材料與冶金行業的聯系,對推動兩個行業發展起到了十分重要的作用。
(二)用于煉鋼增碳劑
石墨在煉鋼等冶金過程中通常被用作增碳劑,在現技術的支持下,能夠被應用于滲碳環節的碳質材料逐漸增多,其中滲透性*的材料具體包括天然石墨、人造石墨、冶金焦炭、石油焦等。盡管石墨電相關技術的應用水平得到提高,但在具體使用過程中仍存在一些問題,例如溫度變化、石墨類型等需要研究人員深化解決。
(三)導電性
石(shi)墨(mo)(mo)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)的(de)(de)應(ying)用范圍廣,在(zai)(zai)各(ge)種合金(jin)鋼、鈦合金(jin)的(de)(de)冶(ye)煉(lian)施工中都(dou)能(neng)看到(dao),若是能(neng)夠充分發揮石(shi)墨(mo)(mo)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)的(de)(de)應(ying)用優勢,便可利用導電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)性(xing)將強大的(de)(de)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)流(liu)導入電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)爐(lu)(lu)的(de)(de)熔(rong)煉(lian)區,利用電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)弧(hu)將電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)能(neng)轉化(hua)為(wei)熱能(neng),以此實現熔(rong)煉(lian)合金(jin)的(de)(de)目的(de)(de)。另外,在(zai)(zai)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)解(jie)鈉、鎂(mei)、鋁(lv)等金(jin)屬時(shi),可以利用石(shi)墨(mo)(mo)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)替換傳統陽電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian),但為(wei)了電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)應(ying)用質量,需要將粒度(du)(du)控(kong)(kong)制在(zai)(zai) 150—325 目(即 0.1mm—0.042mm)之間(jian),有(you)害雜質必須控(kong)(kong)制在(zai)(zai) 10% 以下,如此才能(neng)有(you)效提高(gao)石(shi)墨(mo)(mo)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)的(de)(de)品味(90%—99%),整個(ge)石(shi)墨(mo)(mo)電(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)(dian)的(de)(de)溫度(du)(du)分布相對均勻,大部(bu)分溫度(du)(du)都(dou)被控(kong)(kong)制在(zai)(zai) 90 至 150 攝氏度(du)(du)之間(jian)(除爐(lu)(lu)芯在(zai)(zai)外)。
